AI Made Simple

AI Made Simple

Become comfortable using AI for everyday life.

Practical help for writing, travel, recipes, confusing tech messages, and other real tasks. No jargon. No homework. About ten minutes at a time.

What can AI actually help me with?

ChatGPT is useful when you have a specific task. Here are everyday examples beginners use first.

Get help with confusing technology

Describe an error message, a settings screen, or a confusing alert. Ask ChatGPT to explain it in plain English, then give you only the next step.

Plan trips around your preferences

Ask for a realistic itinerary based on your interests, budget, pace, and how much walking you want to do — not a packed tourist checklist.

Understand complicated information

Paste a letter, bill, warranty, or article and ask for a plain-English summary, plus questions you can take to a doctor, insurer, or contractor.

Write without staring at a blank screen

Get a first draft of a thank-you note, invitation, complaint, or email. You stay in charge of the wording.

Organize everyday life

Turn messy notes into a grocery list, packing list, errand plan, or simple checklist for a home project.

You don't need to be good with technology.

You do not need to understand how AI works inside.

You do not need special commands, and you do not need to type a perfect question. Ordinary conversational language works.

If the first answer is too long or too vague, you can say, “Explain that more simply,” or “Give me one step at a time.”

If you can send a text message, you can learn to use ChatGPT.

If you have never opened it, start with the step-by-step beginner guide.

A real example

This is the kind of conversation beginners have. You describe the situation. ChatGPT answers. Then you continue, one step at a time.

An example of a beginner asking ChatGPT for help with iPhone storage.

You

I'm new to this. My iPhone says my storage is almost full. Explain what that means and give me only the first thing I should check.

ChatGPT

It means your phone is running low on space for photos, apps, messages, and other files. Let's start by checking what is using the most space. Open Settings, then tap General, then iPhone Storage. Tell me what you see at the top, and we will go from there.

That's it. You don't need special AI language. Just explain what you need.

Useful, with limits

AI can be a calm helper. It can also make mistakes, skip a detail, or sound sure when it is guessing.

Check important information in the original source. Do not paste passwords, Social Security numbers, bank details, or one-time login codes into a chat.

For medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions, use AI to understand the wording and prepare questions — not as a final authority.
